CONCORD-APPLE
R.O’NEILL LATTA | 2020
66% concord wine, 33% field blend cider
Mary’s Orchard, Corralitos, California
9%
This is a blend of concord grapes picked from a massive old vining pergola in Mary’s Orchard on September 27, 2020, and pippin apples gathered on September 26, 2020. The apples and grapes were fermented separately, allowing the concord to macerate until it was fermenting dry and without too much present sugar. Roughly 66% of the concord wine was blended with 33% of the field blend cider to create a darker purple, jolly-rancher like color with a more present grape quality than its counterpart (the Apple-Concord).
